About

I've worked in and around the travel industry for 15 years, as cabin crew with British Airways and writing about all my adventures on my website which I started in 2012. I love road trips, surfing, outdoor adventures and family travel. I've continued to travel since having children and my eldest, Emily has adventured to some exciting far-flung destinations with my husband Matt and I. My favourite child friendly destinations are Bali, Italy and California.

My love for travel all started when I got the job as cabin crew for British Airways in 2006, I explored the world while getting paid; dream job! Don't get me wrong the life of a flight attendant isn't as glamorous as you might think. Working over night, angry passengers, medical emergencies, missing Christmas with family and a 2 hour commute to work were all hard going at times. But to go on safari in South Africa, surf in Barbados and Peru and shop at markets in Mumbai, are all amazing experiences I would never have had the opportunity to experience if it weren't for such an incredible career. The highs of the adventures down route definitely outweighed the sometimes lows of the job.

Along with my travel blog I'm also a freelance writer, creating content for travel and lifestyle companies. I’ve collaborated with some fantastic brands all over the world. My favourites are travelling along the east coast of Australia and New Zealand’s South Island in a campervan with Jucy campers. Documenting life on the road through blogs, social media and video content from the back of a van was a travel highlight. Seeing the Northern Lights on a Super Jeep Tour in Iceland with Iceland Travel is another collaboration I am really proud of. I also create content for travel websites and work with tourism boards and brands on press trips. One of my most memorable was a week long press trip in Menorca with Traverse Events and the Spanish Tourist Board. I spent the week documenting the highlights of Menorca along with around 50 of the UK's best travel bloggers and vloggers. There's more on my freelance work over on the work with me page.
